Adventure never came from standing still, and Damen’s brand new 77m (253ft) expedition yacht 'La Datcha' isn't offering your typical yacht charter vacation; she's giving you the opportunity to enjoy once-in-a-lifetime superyacht experiences.
Delivered just last month by Dutch yard Damen, La Datcha is a totally different type of luxury charter yacht.
Her ambitious itinerary for the next 2 years has already been mapped out, and her cross-planet escapade will take her from the remote corners of the South Pacific to the most awe-inspiring islands of Russia- and she's giving you the chance to get involved.
As she sets off on her adventure, she's now available to book in any of the following destinations.
As she repositions to more tropical shores, La Datcha is giving you the entire Indian Ocean to choose from.
La Datcha will be repositioning to more tropical shores between December 2020 and March 2021- and she’s giving you the entire Indian Ocean to choose from. Take your pick between the sun-soaked Seychelles, the wilderness of Madagascar or the mystical Maldives. She’ll be available to book in South East Asia too, where the wonders of Thailand and Malaysia promise plenty to explore on shore and at sea.
The expedition yacht has a huge locker of toys and accessories to complement the clear waters and thriving wildlife in this region, and she also plays host to a full-equipped dive centre to add an extra dimension to your yacht charter experience.
La Datcha has 2 custom B3 Eurocopters on hand to to help you access the most difficult-to-reach peaks.
In April 2021 La Datcha will be heading to a destination which is rarely seen on standard yacht charter itineraries: Russia. Namely, the Kamchatka Peninsula. Bordering the Sea of Japan, this region is famed for its dramatic, mountain-covered landscapes where opportunities for exploration are ample, particularly around the nature reserve of the South Kamchatka Sanctuary. Here, you’ll be able to see brown bears splashing and feeding in the shallow waters.
But the real attraction of this region is the heli-skiing; and La Datcha will be more than happy to accommodate that, with 2 custom B3 Eurocopters on hand to reach the most difficult-to-reach peaks. Ambitious skiers can take to the slopes, leaving streaks of powdery white and soaking up the sights of dormant volcanoes, glacial-blue lakes and black sand beaches.
Cruise through the rivers and fjords, hike through the pine forests and grill freshly-caught crabs for your evening meal.
As she makes the journey to Central America for a summer under the sun, luxury yacht La Datcha will be stopping in Alaska for a change of scenery. The region’s ‘Midnight Sun’ will be in full glow at this time, so this is the perfect time to experience this intriguing phenomenon in person.
This is also the peak time to see the waterfalls, salmon-filled rivers and of course, Alaska’s famous bear population. Cruise through the rivers and fjords, hike through the pine forests and grill freshly-caught crabs for your evening meal.
For true exploration her scuba room will allow you to take full advantage of the region’s kaleidoscopic corals and flourishing wildlife.
Central America’s coasts are a paradise on earth, and they’re not often explored by yachts; so there’s plenty of unspoilt treasures to discover. La Datcha’s underwater submarine will come in handy for getting up close and personal with the region’s vibrant underwater ecosystems- but for true exploration her scuba room will allow you to take full advantage of the region’s kaleidoscopic corals and flourishing wildlife.
La Datcha isn't just offering vacations, she's offering once-in-a-lifetime superyacht experiences.
Only a select few have ever been heli-skiing on the most remote continent on the planet: Antarctica. La Datcha can put her ice-breaking hull to full use, and her helicopters will allow her guests to explore the snow-coated landscapes from a new perspective. Guests can also take the yacht’s kayaks out for a spin, and cruise through crystal-blue inlets and meet the local penguin population.
In February 2022 La Datcha will be heading back to Central America, giving you another chance to explore the pristine cruising grounds of this Eden on earth. From April 2022- June 2022, she’ll be back in Russia’s Kamchatka region for another chance to discover everything that makes this archipelago so stunningly different.
Emerald bays, lush jungle-covered islands and blindingly bright marine life awaits in the South Pacific.
A whole new world awaits around Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Oceania. These emerald bays, lush jungle-covered islands and blindingly bright marine life below the surface of the sea offer plenty for adventure-hungry charterers to enjoy.
After days spent swimming and splashing through the sea, La Datcha's wellness centre is on hand to ease away aches and pains. She has a fully-equipped spa with a Turkish Hamman and invigorating ice shower.
Chartering around Patagonia is high on every thrill-seekers bucket list.
Chartering around Patagonia is high on every thrill-seekers bucket list. This unspoilt wilderness is full of surprises- from glaciers rising up from the sea to to snow-capped mountains, this region is steeped in culture and natural wonders.
The region comprises Argentina, Chiles and part of the Andes mountains. The Argentine side features arid grasslands and deserts, while the Chilean area is a land of glacial fjords and humid jungles. Patagonia’s pristine mountains remain largely undiscovered by heli-skiing operations, making La Datcha the ideal platform from which to experience this Andean wilderness.
One of the best equipped and most capable explorer yachts on the water, La Datcha is the ultimate choice for discovering the world’s most far-flung corners, uninhabited islands and remote destinations.
She accommodates 12 guests in six cabins which includes two individual Owner's suites, and on-board highlights include a deck jacuzzi and 9m above-water observation lounge.
