Delta Marine’s 46m Explorer Yacht Project ZEMBRA Moves into Outfitting Ahead of Charter Debut

By Anna Ingles   28 August 2025

Delta Marine has reached an exciting new milestone in the build of its latest custom explorer yacht, Project ZEMBRA. Following the successful joining of her 46.3m hull and superstructure at the yard’s Seattle facility, the superyacht has now progressed to the outfitting stage, bringing her one step closer to delivery and her much-anticipated debut charter season.

Commissioned in 2023 by highly experienced owners, Project ZEMBRA has been conceived as the ultimate adventure platform for explorer yacht charters. Combining serious expedition credentials with the elegance and luxury of a modern superyacht, she is designed to transport charter guests to the most remote corners of the globe in total comfort.

Purposeful design with a distinctive edge

Styled with strong expedition DNA, superyacht charter Project ZEMBRA balances purposeful ruggedness with modern elegance. Her exterior, dressed in an eye-catching metallic “Arizona bronze,” immediately distinguishes her from the traditional white-hulled fleet. Her angular superstructure conveys a sense of strength, while expansive glazing ensures that interiors remain flooded with natural light and maintain a strong visual connection with the sea.

Built on Delta Marine’s proven full-displacement hull platform, she offers the range, autonomy, and stability demanded for global cruising. This heritage of seaworthy construction means charter guests can expect smooth passages whether voyaging across the charter routes in the Pacific or exploring high-latitude regions.

Adventure above and below the surface

Where motor yacht charter ZEMBRA sets herself apart is in her unrivalled collection of exploration equipment, making her a true “basecamp for adventure.”

Charter guests will have access to a two-seat ICON A5 amphibious aircraft, capable of landing on both water and land, opening up countless possibilities for island-hopping, scenic flightseeing, and remote explorations far beyond the yacht’s anchorage. Complementing this, a three-passenger U-Boat Worx submersible will unlock the mysteries of the underwater world, offering the opportunity to dive below the surface in safety and comfort.

Supporting these assets, a 3,500-pound SWL boom crane on the bridge deck and a stern gantry crane ensure efficient, safe deployment and retrieval, designed with repeat operations in mind for charter use. Together, these systems allow for seamless transitions from luxury relaxation on board to adrenaline-filled adventures for the ultimate watersports yacht charter experience.

A certified helipad on the sundeck further enhances the yacht’s autonomy, allowing charter guests to arrive in style, transfer quickly to and from shore, or use the helicopter for expeditions deep into otherwise inaccessible terrain. For charter clients, this opens up extraordinary opportunities—from private picnics on untouched Caribbean beaches, to unrivalled access to some of the best destinations for heli-skiing.

Luxury and accessibility at the core

Behind her rugged explorer profile, Project ZEMBRA is an accessible charter yacht designed to deliver the comfort and luxury expected of a first-class charter experience. She is reported to boast accommodation for up to 10 charter guests in five generously proportioned cabins. A full-beam master suite on the main deck provides sweeping views and privacy, while four lower-deck staterooms ensure flexible guest arrangements. Importantly, one cabin is designed to be fully wheelchair accessible, with an onboard elevator connecting all decks, an exceptional level of accessibility not often seen in yachts of her size.

Her interiors will pair functionality with understated elegance, with versatile spaces that can adapt to guests needs. A convertible gym can serve as a private workout studio or be transformed for leisure use. Meanwhile, her toys and tenders, including a Williams Jet Tender, will be discreetly stowed, ensuring her exterior profile remains sleek and uncluttered.

These thoughtful inclusions mean that yacht rental Project ZEMBRA is not only built for adventure, but for inclusive, luxurious voyages where every charter guest feels fully catered for.

Charter outlook

As she enters outfitting, excitement is already building around Project ZEMBRA's debut as the latest Delta Marine yacht for charter. A central charter agent has already been appointed, signalling strong demand and positioning her as one of the hottest anticipated explorer yachts joining the market.

Her appeal lies in her rare blend of serious expedition capability and refined luxury. She offers adventure seekers the tools to explore the furthest reaches of the globe, while also providing the five-star comfort and service expected by luxury charter clients. Whether it’s discovering the charms of remote French Polynesia yacht charters, exploring the fjords of Norway, or enjoying a family escape in the Caribbean, Zembra promises flexibility to adapt to almost any itinerary.

In the broader context of yacht charter trends, Zembra exemplifies the growing demand for explorer yachts that can go further, stay longer, and deliver more unique experiences than traditional yacht rentals. With outfitting now underway, her 2026 delivery is eagerly awaited by charter clients seeking the ultimate blend of discovery and luxury.
