The largest in-water boat show in the world is set to return to the sunkissed Florida coast when the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) takes place at the end of October.
Spread across seven locations and six miles of floating docks there truly is something for everyone at the show. All conceivable shapes, sizes and styles of yachts are on display from sleek sports yachts to stunning superyachts, and plenty of luxury yacht charters as well.
Around 100,000 visitors make FLIBS the biggest on-water boat show in the world, and it is one that certainly never fails to deliver…
Annually showcasing around $4billion worth of yachts and nautical merchandise, FLIBS bristles with energy and excitement across its multiple locations, all easily accessible thanks to a seamless transport network.
The Bahia Mar Yachting Centre is the hub of the show, with everything from runabouts and toys and tenders to powerful sportfishing boats on display, but with well in excess of 1,000 exhibitors in attendance that only scrapes the surface. Each location has a different focus, and every year a large number of charter yachts are on show from some of the world’s most esteemed yacht builders.
There is almost as much going on off of the water as there is on it at FLIBS and that is saying something! Live music, gourmet food, craft cocktails and endless entertainment are just a few of the side attractions constantly on offer.
For the ultimate in indulgence, the Windward VIP Experience gives access to an exclusive lounge with a prestige menu and open bar. Elsewhere there is a display of supercars, watersports demonstrations, and a host of talks, seminars and expos.
Florida is one of the most popular destinations to charter a yacht in the US, and with a buzzing social scene and wall-to-wall sunshine it is easy to understand why.
Located within easy reach of the Bahamas, and other American hotspots like Miami and Key West a yacht charter in Florida is equally suited to families and corporate gatherings.
