Reasons to Visit
Shroud Cay
Good For
- Snorkeling
- Marine Life
- Nature
Described as a nursery for wildlife and indigneous flora and fauna, Shroud Cay provides an isolated paradise which enjoys the protection of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, but also provides a relaxing and undulgent atmosphere.
A mooring field is located a mile and a half off the northern tip of the island, which can accommodate vessels up to 65' with minimal space for a couple of vessels at 150'. Mooring spaces are allocated on a first come first serve basis, making it essential to arrive early.
Taking a tender at an idle speed through the secluded waterways will bring you up close to untouched natural beauty and some stunning species of wildlife. Take the time to look both up and down round every corner as an abundance of birds and fish decorate the creeks. If you're lucky you may be able to see some crawfish (lobster) and even some local sea turtles. Speed is restricted throughout Shroud Cay to prevent any disturbance to the island, water or the inhabitants.
Getting up close to sea turtles is an exceptional experience. View all superyachts available for Bahamas yacht charters today and start planning your next vacation.
