Filming will begin at the start of January on board a soon-to-be revealed 2010-built 49m/161ft luxury charter yacht and will take place in the glorious cruising grounds of The Abacos Islands in the Northern Bahamas. The 47m/154ft motor yacht OHANA was the setting for season two of the popular series and has since been sold, refitted and renamed RHINO meaning viewers will get an insight into life aboard a brand new vessel.
The series is due to air on US TV in summer 2015, featuring 12 episodes following the charter guests and crew on their travels. Bravo are now looking for three charter groups of between four and eight guests to step on board, looked after by the 'Below Deck' crew of 11. Most charter vacations this season will be 3 days, 2 nights and the charter fee will be $35,000 as opposed to the usual $87,500 for three days or $175,000 per week it costs to hire the yacht. The normal cash gratuity of 15% of the full weekly rate will however be expected on departure.
Each ‘Below Deck’ charter group will have the opportunity to create their own unique Bahamas yacht charter itinerary around The Abacos, a group of picturesque islands stretching over 120-miles. From exploring the coastlines of Big Abaco and Little Abaco, scalloped with bays, coves and protected harbors to choosing from one the pristine beaches of Treasure Cay, the region is perfect for a relaxing winter escape.
