Preparing for another exciting edition of the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, Falmouth Harbour prepares to welcome at least 43 indulgent luxury charter yachts with lengths averaging at 48.9m (160.4ft).
A trade-only event that welcomes industry professionals to get up close to the latest charter yachts on the market, the show has long benefitted the Caribbean and signposted some of the most spectacular superyacht hotspots in the region.
Celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2021, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show continues to go from strength to strength and is anticipating the attendance of some real showstopping motor yachts this year.
Scheduled to be held at the Nelson's Dockyard UNESCO World Heritage Site, this industry-only event hosts an extensive program of events to raise awareness for local charities, acknowledge the best in the business, and of course introduce the visitors to the beautiful coastline of Antigua and the surrounding Caribbean environment.
Throughout the day visiting professionals will have allocated times to tour the visiting luxury yacht charters and learn everything about each superyacht directly from those who know them the best. The crew. Tasting sessions of the menus and even excursions can be arranged with select charter yachts, to enhance the all-round experience and give everyone an optimal idea of what life is like onboard.
Battling it out for bragging rights, the chefs and crew are tested to their limits in a series of competitions designed to highlight the best teams in the charter fleet.
The Concours de Chef and Tablescaping Competitions showcase the raw creative talent of the crews accompanying the attending luxury charter yachts, and no two years are the same. Each edition is based around a different theme, with the 2023 chef's competition honing in on culinary inspirations from around the world. Stewards and stewardesses will be designing their table settings based on the concept of around the world with a view to sustainability.
