America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta 2021

March 2021 (Dates to be announced)

By Editorial Team

Superyachts and the J Class are expected to join the America’s Cup action and participate in their very own regatta when the world-class sporting event returns in 2021.

The America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta 2021 is predicted to take place just ahead of the 36th America’s Cup Match, which will take place in March 2021. The location is expected to be New Zealand and this will be confirmed by August 2018.

Following on from the 2017 edition held in Bermuda, the J Class are anticipated to join an extensive fleet of superyachts competing over three days in their respective classes.

The J Class are considered the peak racers of the era - from 1914 to 1937 - when the Universal Rule determined eligibility into the America’s Cup. Today, there is a fleet of nine J Class yachts made up of a mix of refitted originals and new-build replicas.

Not much is known yet about the 2021 America’s Cup and the America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta, including the exact dates and location, but be sure to check back on YachtCharterFleet to keep up to date on the latest news.
