Ideal for Summer Season
Split and Pula sit at opposite ends of the Croatian coast and represent two entirely different versions of what the Adriatic does best. This six-day passage between them moves from the sun-bleached limestone islands and turquoise bays of Dalmatia and the densely packed uninhabited archipelago of the Kornati, into the green hills of Istria, where a Roman amphitheater that has stood for 2,000 years still hosts summer concerts under the stars. It is a route that changes character with every day, and one that no single stretch of the Croatian coast could deliver alone.
- Day 1
Start off in SplitDistance: 35 nm*
Begin in Croatia's most vibrant coastal city
Start your Split yacht charter in Croatia's second-largest city, a place where a 4th-century Roman emperor's retirement palace has become the beating heart of a modern Mediterranean metropolis. The old town of Split is unlike any other in the Adriatic: its streets, restaurants, and residences have been growing inside and around Diocletian's Palace for nearly 1,700 years, and wandering through it still feels genuinely extraordinary.
Begin the morning at the Stari Pazar market for an authentic taste of Croatian produce before working through the palace's warren of marble streets toward the Riva promenade, Split's waterfront esplanade and the social center of the city, lined with cafes and perfectly positioned for a long, unhurried lunch.
Reserve a table at Zrno Soli for Michelin-starred Mediterranean cuisine using locally sourced ingredients. In the afternoon, the forested peninsula of Marjan Hill offers walking and cycling trails above the city with panoramic views over the harbor and islands, one of those understated Split experiences that stays with you.
Depart in the evening through the tiny bays of the Dalmatian coast, stopping for a first taste of snorkeling in the crystal-clear water.

- Day 2
Explore Krka National ParkDistance: 25 nm*
Cascading waterfalls and one of Croatia's oldest medieval towns
Head north from Split along the coast toward the River Krka, one of the most naturally dramatic river systems in the Adriatic region. Moor your super yacht charter at the ancient town of Skradin and take the national park boat upriver into the Krka National Park, one of Croatia's eight protected national parks and a landscape of extraordinary beauty defined by travertine waterfalls, emerald green pools, and dense riverbank vegetation.
The headline attraction is Skradinski Buk, a series of 17 cascading waterfalls that drop 46 meters across a broad limestone formation, creating a natural swimming area that is among the most popular for Croatia yacht charters. Walking trails wind through the park past Byzantine fortresses and an old watermill, and the boat journey through the canyon walls approaching the falls is as impressive as the destination itself.
Return to Skradin for the evening, one of the oldest towns in Croatia, with exquisite stone churches, cobblestone streets lined with family-run restaurants, and the unhurried warmth of a settlement that has been welcoming visitors for centuries.
- Day 3
Island hop in the Kornati ArchipelagoDistance: 65 nm*
The most densely packed island group in the Mediterranean
Comprising 147 individual islands, islets, and reefs spread across roughly 320 square kilometers of the northern Dalmatian Sea, the Kornati Archipelago is the most densely concentrated island group in the entire Mediterranean, and one of the most visually appeasing. The Kornati National Park protects the majority of these islands, most of which are uninhabited, treeless, and shaped by centuries of karst erosion into dramatically sculpted limestone formations
The absence of any permanent population means the waters here are exceptionally clear and largely undisturbed, making for ideal conditions for snorkeling, diving, and deploying the full range of water toys on your chosen East Mediterranean charter yacht in complete seclusion.
Many of the islands' southern cliffs, known locally as the "crowns", drop vertically into deep water, creating some of the most dramatic underwater wall diving sites in the Adriatic. Anchor in a private cove, spend the day at leisure on one of the quietest and most naturally beautiful stretches of water in Europe, and dine on board as the sun sets over the limestone ridgelines.
- Day 4
Take in the culture of Mali LosinjDistance: 50 nm*
The largest island town in the Adriatic and home to a world-class archaeological treasure
Cruise north with your sailing or motor yacht charter to Mali Lošinj, the largest island town in the Adriatic Sea and one of the most culturally rich stops on this Kvarner Gulf charter route. The harbor is one of the most naturally beautiful on the Croatian coast, framed by colorful 19th-century villas and a waterfront promenade lined with palms, cafes, and boutiques that give the town a distinctly elegant, unhurried character.
The headline cultural draw is the Fritzi Palace, home to the extraordinary 2,000-year-old bronze statue of the Apoxyomenos, a Greek athlete scraping oil from his skin after competition, discovered in 1999 by a diver off the island of Lošinj and now considered one of the finest ancient bronzes ever recovered from the Adriatic seabed.
Beyond the palace, the neighboring island of Veli Lošinj is worth a short detour for its Baroque architecture and the remarkable dolphin research center. This stretch of the Kvarner Gulf is home to one of the last resident bottlenose dolphin populations in the northern Adriatic. Dine ashore as the evening settles over the harbor.
- Day 5
Brijuni National Park & RovinjDistance: 20 nm*
Presidential islands, ancient wildlife, and the most photogenic harbor in Istria
Begin the day at the Brijuni National Park, an archipelago of 14 islands off the Istrian coast that served as the private retreat of Yugoslav President Tito for more than three decades. The islands are now open to visitors from Croatia and Mediterranean charter guests and contain a remarkable mix of Roman and Byzantine ruins, a safari park with animals gifted to Tito by world leaders, and some of the most pristine coastline in the northern Adriatic. A guided tour by electric train covers the park's main highlights.
In the afternoon, cruise to Rovinj, the most romantic and visually distinctive harbor town on the Istrian coast. The old town sits on a small peninsula, its tall, tightly packed Venetian buildings rising directly from the sea and crowned by the Church of St. Euphemia, the largest Baroque church in Istria, with a bell tower modeled on the campanile in Venice.
The surrounding waters reward the adventurous: Red Island nearby offers a secluded afternoon swim in clear, calm water, while experienced divers can explore the wreck of the Baron Gautsch, an Austro-Hungarian passenger steamer sunk in 1914 and one of the most celebrated dive sites in the Adriatic.
- Day 6
Round off in Pula
End in a 3,000-year-old city built around a Roman amphitheater that still hosts concerts today
The final day of your yacht charter vacation brings you to the largest city on the Istrian peninsula, a place where 3,000 years of continuous habitation have left an extraordinary concentration of Roman monuments within easy walking distance of the harbor. Begin in the modern district's galleries and boutique stores for any last-minute shopping before heading into the old city.
The Pula Arena is the centerpiece, one of the six largest Roman amphitheaters ever built, extraordinarily well preserved, and still used today as a concert venue for some of the biggest acts in European music.
A short walk away, the Temple of Augustus, built between 2 BC and 14 AD, is one of the best-preserved Roman temples outside of Rome itself, while the Arch of the Sergii, a 1st-century triumphal arch, marks the entrance to the old town with a grandeur that makes it easy to forget you are standing in a working Croatian city rather than an open-air museum. End the week of exploring this intriguing charter destination over a long lunch at one of the old town's many excellent restaurants before disembarking and heading home.
