Secluded Bay in Curacao, Caribbean

14th May 2014

As far as idyllic island charter destinations go, Curacao has it all – rich in history, culture and beautiful colonial architecture and home to an array of pristine beaches and world-renowned dive sites.

The Caribbean island of Curacao represents the ‘C’ within the Dutch ABC islands, the others being Aruba and Bonaire and all of which create a fantastic winter charter itinerary option. It is also the largest, most populous and most cosmopolitan of the three, with a bustling World Heritage Site recognised capital of Willemstad that boasts a vibrant art scene and is famed for its dynamic atmosphere.

Outside of the city, the rural lands are dotted with remnants of plantations including Christoffel Park which spans 4,500 acres of protected park land filled with a variety of wildlife. Ideal for watersports as much as escape and relaxation, Curacao plays host to around 40 gorgeous beaches, some long stretches of silky soft sand and others so secluded they can only be reached by boat. The island is also famed for its beautiful surrounding waters that hold spectacular coral reefs and marine life, covering around 40 different dive areas and 64 individual sites.

Now is the perfect time to start thinking about booking a winter charter vacation in the Caribbean and your charter broker will be able to help you with creating an itinerary that will suit your requirements.
