Built in 2002 by Royal Denship, FORCE BLUE was designed by Ole Steen Knudsen and Flavio Briatore as part of the shipyard's "expedition" series that included 46m charter yacht Big Aron.
As part of her 2007 refit, her interior was extensively refitted by Celeste Dell'Anna and her exterior was repainted a sleek navy blue. In 2009, she was famously the location for talks at the Monaco Grand Prix between FIA and the Formula One Teams Association as they discussed changes to the next season.
