German shipyard Lürssen have just announced that the 95.2m/312’4 motor yacht KISMET (‘Project Global’) has successfully completed her sea trials in time for her scheduled delivery date this month.
The sea trials took place over three days between the 26th and 28th August, under which KISMET was sent out under optimal weather conditions and put through extensive functional tests such as the propulsion plant, pump jet, trials of the thruster, steering system, tests of the cooling, lubrication and fuel-system. Fresh water- treatment units were carried out, as well as the smoke test in the engine room and the blackout tests, all of which achieved the ‘expected excellent results’.
