Marking a milestone moment, the impressive 120-meter Amels superyacht has just been revealed for the first time after being moved to Damen Yachting’s facilities in the Netherlands for final outfitting.
Following her recent launch from Damen's build facility at Galați, Romania last month, the steel and aluminum motor yacht is now ready to commence her final construction phase, and will become the yard’s flagship upon delivery.
This impressive yacht’s head-turning exteriors come courtesy of world-class designer Espen Øino, showcasing a striking profile with sleek lines and a raked bow, with Damen Yachting responsible for her naval architecture.
Amels Project Manager Jeroen Waalewijn explains, “the launch of the hull was an emotional yet incredible moment for all of those who have played such an integral part in the realisation of the Amels 120 Full Custom so far. To see her out on the water and to now have her here in Vlissingen is a testament to the entire project team. We look forward to this next stage in her build journey as we transform her into our future flag ship.”
While her interiors remain under wraps, what we do know is that she comprises five decks, with pictures revealing a foredeck helipad, large swimming pool on her main deck aft and a beach club.
She will also feature state-of-the-art technology and engineering for all her onboard systems, as well as a hybrid system powered by diesel-electric engines and Azipod electric propulsion, significantly reducing her energy consumption, as well as mitigating her impact on the delicate marine environment.

Damen also confirmed that she will operate the lowest levels of noise and vibration ever recorded on a yacht of this size.
She will be the largest yacht in the Amels fleet upon delivery, which is expected to be 2025. It is not believed that the superyacht will be available to charter upon delivery.
