Following successful sea trials that began in May this year, the bespoke 74m (242ft) superyacht M&EM departed Damen Yachting's facilities in the Netherlands and has now been handed over to her owners.
The Amels Limited Edition 242 superyacht, formerly known as Project 242-07, showcases a royal blue hull and signature exterior design by Tim Heywood, with Damen Yachting responsible for naval architecture. Upon the owner's request, she also features interior styling from the pen of esteemed British studio Winch Design.
We are delighted to be handing over this beautiful yacht to her owners. It is a milestone which has been made possible thanks to the excellent collaboration between all parties involved and we look forward to following her next chapter.
The Limited Editions design features customisation to suit the owner’s requirements, including increased capacity for a helicopter and a different configuration for her stern area. Whilst we don’t know her interior layout, we do know she features a dedicated owner’s deck with a forward-facing cabin and on-deck Jacuzzi, meanwhile her main deck aft plays host to a swimming pool.
The 1,790GT yacht provides ample space for her guests, further enhanced by her generous beam of 12.5m (41ft). She provides accommodation for 12 guests across 6 staterooms.
Boasting impressive ocean-going performance, capable of a cruising range of 5,000nm at 12.5 knots, she also meets IMO's newest Tier III regulations, equipped with clean emissions power and propulsion.
She is the 7th hull to be delivered by the Dutch builder in the Amels 242 series, and joins sisterships AVANTI, SYNTHESIS and PLVS VLTRA.
