Bravo’s ‘Below Deck’ Season 2 returns in August

Bravo’s ‘Below Deck’ Season 2 returns in August

After the popularity of Bravo TV’s first season of ‘Below Deck’, it has now been confirmed to return to screens in the US for its second season on the 12th August and will follow a brand new crew on board the 47m Admiral motor yacht ‘Ohana’.

The first series of ‘Below Deck’ followed the lives of crew and charter guests on board the 50m/160’7 Benetti motor yacht ‘Cuor di Leone’, (renamed ‘Honor’ for the purposes of the charter and now named 'Lumiere') over a 5 week season in the Caribbean. The drama and unprofessional antics of the crew members throughout the series was heavily criticised by yachting industry professionals, accused by many as being an untrue representation of charter vacations.

In February we reported that Bravo TV was recruiting for a new crew to star on board the 1998-built ‘Ohana’

Despite this, the show was a ratings smash and pulled in an audience of 1.8 million for its season finale.  In February we reported that Bravo TV was recruiting for a new crew to star on board the 1998-built ‘Ohana’, a popular luxury charter yacht that has since been sold and renamed RHINO. Offering an excellent selection of amenities such as a Jacuzzi, outdoor bar and beautiful Donald Starkey interior to accommodate up to 10 guests as well as a 40’ custom waterslide, she will no doubt hold her own as the real star of the show.

It was initially thought that ‘Ohana’s’ Captain John Grugach would be taking the helm, but Bravo have since announced that the same Captain from the first season of ‘Below Deck’, Captain Lee Rosbach will also be appearing for season 2. His crew on board will include Chief Stewardess Kate Chastain, Deckhand’s Jennice Ontiveros, Andrew Sturby and Kelley Johnson, Chef Ben Robinson, Bosun Eddie Lucas and Stewardess’s Kat Held and Amy Johnson.
