The Superyacht Show 2018

OneOcean Port Vell, Barcelona

2 - 5 May 2018

By Rebecca Bradbury

A brand new yachting event known as The Superyacht Show will launch in May this year in Barcelona’s OneOcean Port Vell.

Organised by the Large Yacht Brokers Association (LYBRA), the Superyacht Show aims to offer both potential superyacht buyers and charterers the chance to step aboard some of the world’s leading yachts in an exclusive and private setting.

Running from 2 to 5 May, just ahead of the Mediterranean summer season, the event will be the only yacht show in Europe that focuses exclusively on serving consumers and will be held in a private marina in Spain’s OneOcean Port Vell.

Who will be exhibiting at the show?

All nine members of LYBRA, which include some of the world’s biggest yacht brokers, will participate in the debut event, while a selection of hand-picked luxury products and high-end lifestyle brands will complement the on-water display.

How will the show differ from traditional boat shows?

The Superyacht Show will be a client-centric showcase, which delivers the optimum buyer experience by attracting the highest quality superyachts and yachting companies, the most prestigious sponsors, global luxury brands and the most discerning visitors.

The quayside experience for the ultra-high net worth clients and their representatives is specifically designed to be relaxed, elegant and enjoyable. This differs to more traditional boat shows, which have a strong business-to-business element.

Over time, organisers hope to develop the show into the definitive, pre-summer buying opportunity in the Mediterranean, with plans to expand the line-up in 2019 to incorporate several major shipyards.

About the location

The inaugural show will be held in a private marina of OneOcean Port Vell in the heart of Barcelona. This is a safe and secure location where visitors can step on board a wide variety of superyachts in a suitably exclusive setting. Of course, Barcelona boasts its own attractions and has an incredible range of things to see and do. A distinctly cosmopolitan city, there is world-class cuisine to sample, historic architecture to explore, and cultural attractions to soak up.

Attending the show

The opening hours of The Superyacht Show 2018 will be from 10am to 6pm, apart from the final day (Saturday 5 May) when it finishes at the earlier time of 5pm. Tickets are now available.
