This summer, the Superyacht Cup Palma will be returning to the Mediterranean for its 25th edition.
Running for four days in June, the Superyacht Cup is renowned for being Europe's longest-running regatta. It attracts skilled sailors, keen spectators and a fleet of competent sailing yacht yachts to the Balearic waters every year.
This year will see around 15 yachts take to the waters, with the first day of racing reserved for J-class yachts. The fixture is organised by Real Club Nautico de Palma, and provides a sparkling evening entertainment programme to ensure the spirit of gamesmanship and camaraderie are at the forefront of the Superyacht Cup Palma.
The island of Mallorca is an enviable location for this prestigious regatta. Weather conditions are good year-round, with light winds and sunny skies.
The yachts will be berthed in Muelle Viejo, and the racing will take place around the Gulf of Palma. It is easy to watch the races from the sidelines on board a luxury yacht, or get right into the thick of the action with a regatta charter.
The Superyacht Cup Palma is a mainstay in the Mediterranean regatta circuit, and is strengthened by a variety of social events for participants to enjoy. These include awards ceremonies, yacht parties and dockside events that allow sailors and spectators to mingle and soak up the buzzing ambience.
Away from the races, the island of Palma offers so much to see and do. The Spanish outpost is replete with lively beach clubs, fabulous seafood restaurants and a wealth of pretty beaches and excellent dive spots.
