Superyacht Challenge Antigua 2018

English Harbour, Antigua

31 Jan - 4 Feb 2018

By Rebecca Bradbury

Don’t miss the Superyacht Challenge Antigua which, extending from three to four days in 2018, will treat sailors and spectators alike to even more racing at its upcoming eighth edition.

Running from 31st January to 4th February, 2018's extended Superyacht Challenge Antigua will see an incredible fleet of sailing yachts undertake daily pursuit races, ranging from 12 to 30 miles, along the beautiful coast of south Antigua in the sparkling Caribbean sunshine.

The fleet will assemble in the historic surroundings of Nelson’s Dockyard before making their way to the start and finish line located off the entrance to English Harbour.

Each day of the regatta will see a different course chosen in response to the prevailing sailing conditions, adding to the excitement and unpredictability of the much-loved event.

Last year saw a strong turnout of charter yachts, with the 34m/112ft sailing yacht KAWIL and the 34m/112ft sailing yacht SPIIP winning their respective categories. As SPIIP is signed up to compete in this year's edition, anticipation is building to see if the Royal Huisman build can retain her title.
