The Monaco Yacht Show is one of the most prestigious yachting events in the world with more than 125 superyachts and around 600 companies exhibiting each year.
Held annually in Port Hercule, Monaco, towards the end of September, the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is one of the most anticipated events in the superyacht industry calendar, providing world-leading yacht builders, designers, luxury manufacturers, and esteemed brokerage houses the opportunity to network with important clientele and prospective customers.
Launched in 1991, the show is the ideal occasion to view and compare more than 120 custom superyachts in one place. Typically hosting around 45 new yacht debuts throughout the duration of the four-day event, the French Riviera truly comes alive during the event, which is a highly sought-after show for exhibitors and clients alike.
In 2017, a brand new exhibition space dedicated to the yachting lifestyle, known as Starboard, was introduced alongside another new exhibition area devoted entirely to the trendiest luxury tenders and water toys on the market.
An inaugural opening ceremony celebrated the new additions, including the presentation of the Monaco Yacht Show Awards.
Continuing to grow in 2018, the layout of the Monaco Yacht Show was changed to meet the demand for even more yachts and exhibitors. In response to the new look of Quai des Etats-Unis, the jetty became dedicated to brokerage houses and the yachts they each represent. Enhancing the overall visitor experience, this revised layout ultimately allowed those in attendance to view and compare the large range of vessels and products on offer.
The 2021 and 2022 editions of the popular Monaco event completely changed the pace of the show, becoming much more client-focused. Introducing a brand-new registration and badge system designed to help match yacht buyers and charterers with the right people.
Day one of the yacht show became dedicated solely to superyacht end users and advisors, with the show open to all visitors from day two. An additional two dedicated VIP areas with waiting lounges also made their inaugural appearance at the show, heightening the new look and feel for the prestige yachting event.
New sections were also introduced to create an even more inclusive environment for Owners, with a technological attraction named the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub, plus other dedicated areas for sailing, design and exploration.
Even with the changes to the overall image of the event, around 500 exhibitors still attend the show and the popular VIP Sapphire Experience maintains its stature through the duration of the event.
