Located at sea-level in the aft area of the yacht, a beach club can offer a number of amenities; from fully-stocked bars to hammam spas, as well as an array of comfortable lounging areas for you and your guests to relax and unwind whilst enjoying scenic waterside views of your surroundings.
It’s also the perfect jumping off point for fun activities in the water on the yacht’s array of toys and tenders.
More than just a place to splash in the sea, the beach club has transformed the traditional aft deck tender garage into a luxurious waterside entertainment centre, and is now a must-have feature on every luxury charter yacht. Offering a range of excellent facilities from loungers, bars and TV screens, to gyms, saunas and dive centers, it is clear to see the appeal.
Here we have compiled the latest and most impressive superyacht beach clubs to be found in the global charter fleet.
Offering an array of sublime wellness options, guests can indulge themselves in everything from a heavenly massage to an energetic workout in the gym, with an adjoining sea terrace providing spectacular views across the water as you work up a sweat. If that wasn't enough, this standout beach club also comes replete with a vast swimming pool, wet bar, lounge and intimate dining area for the complete waterside package.
Launched in 2021, this spectacular 80m/262ft Bilgin yacht TATIANA ranks as one of the best superyacht beach clubs in the world.
Featuring a unique design of two vast multi-level swimming pools, one above the other, you can access her beach club via stairs leading down from the main salon, where guests can choose to either swim and play games in the pool, relax in the Hammam spa, enjoy a luxurious massage or sip sundowners at the sit-up bar.
On top of all this, there are myriad plush seating areas located throughout her beach club area, as well as wide fold-out terraces on either side, offering guests the opportunity for a spot of sunbathing whilst being lulled by the rhythmic dash of the ocean against her hull.
With its discreet aft entrance, you could be forgiven for thinking motor yacht FLYING FOX’s beach club might not be that impressive. However, not for nothing is she the world’s largest and most expensive superyacht, step inside and you’ll be in for an almighty treat.
As you descend the teak steps into the atrium of her beach club, with its exquisite mosaic-tiled centrepiece adorning the floor and contemporary cedar wood wall paneling, you’ll notice a large elevated Jacuzzi up ahead, bathed in sunlight from the opening high above. This spa pool is surrounded by comfortable loungers and a variety of wooden doors leading to a whole raft of wellness amenities, including a Hammam spa, massage room and the world’s first superyacht cryo-sauna – designed to evenly reduce body temperature in minutes, perfect for muscle recovery.
Outside, you’ll find additional loungers either side of her aft doors and a swim platform, ideal for launching her veritable armada of water sports toys and accessories, including seabobs, inflatables and e-foiling surfboards.
Unusual for a sailing vessel, the 86m (282ft) yacht AQUIJO boasts an extensive indoor beach club, complete with a luxurious 3-sided seating area and huge skylight crowning a large central Jacuzzi, as well as a separate sauna and steam room tucked away behind glass doors.
Pops of turquoise and large flanking windows create an inviting and convivial space, with steps leading up to her wide aft deck area with additional loungers and a further swim platform; the perfect place for relaxing and kicking back on charter.
Boasting a multi-faceted beach club, guests can choose to relax in the air-conditioned interior area sporting a Hamptons-esque theme with sumptuous white and duck-egg blue sofas and a fully-stocked port-side bar. Here, guests can enjoy a cocktail or two as they enjoy the stunning waterside views through the sliding glass doors. Alternatively, they can indulge in a spot of pampering in her sauna and steam room after a long day's excursion ashore.
With the sliding doors open, her beach club becomes a vast alfresco deck space, ideal for those keen to soak up some rays on the stunning curved wicker loungers located further aft before heading down the steps to her wide swim platform for a luxuriant dip in the balmy waters.
Of course, this list wouldn’t be complete without an example from the illustrious Feadship yard. Renowned for their meticulous craftsmanship and collaborations with some of the finest superyacht interior designers in the world, 93m/305ft superyacht LADY S, delivered in 2019, more than ticks the boxes.
Her Reymond Langton Design interiors showcase an elegance that flows from bow to aft, where you’ll find her chic beach club.
On the deck above, there is a glass-bottomed swimming pool which infuses the seating area below in a stunning shimmery blue light. Here, guests can relax on the plush circular sofa that surrounds a central plunge pool, with a wide screen operating as a backdrop.
There is also a further Hammam spa and two side terraces for luxurious lounging under the sun. For those looking for something a little more active, guests can step directly on to one of her custom limo tenders for exciting excursions ashore.
Her extensive spa facilities neatly link to her beach club area, and comprise a Hamman, dry massage room and Gharieni massage bed. Adjoining these spaces is a waterfront lounge that opens out onto terraced areas either side, as well as a fully-equipped gym.
This entire area covers an impressive 120m² and is connected to the swim platform, providing easy and straightforward access into the glistening warm waters of her destination.
Linked to the aft deck by two curved staircases, the fixed swim platform offers a secluded spot to soak up the sun’s rays.
Forward from the platform, which also serves as a watersports center, are full-length glass doors that open onto BOADICEA’s spa facilities. A massage room and sauna await guests continuing their luxury charter experience.
With stunning design features, including a ceiling-high Italian light sculpture, silver threaded high-gloss eucalyptus wall panelling and sumptuous teal couches, SOARING’s beautiful beach club also houses adjoining wellness amenities.
Guests can enjoy her gym area, complete with ballet barre and refreshment area, stone mosaic-tiled Hammam and separate massage room for two, along with a professionally-trained crew member on hand to offer luxurious pamper treatments to lucky charter guests.
Honored with a 'Best of the Best' award for the "ingenious use of opening terraces, fold-down bulwarks and an extending swim platform to create a pseudo floating island aft", the 50m/163ft superyacht LEL's beach club boasts all the right credentials to make it on to our list.
Showcasing the seemingly ubiquitous tri-terrace design, LEL’s beach club spaces are flooded with light giving the whole area a warm and inviting ambience, coupled with an array of exquisite ferns and other flora that make you feel as if you’ve stepped into a tropical paradise.
Sumptuous couches, sun loungers, a glorious marble-topped bar area and extensive swim platform all combine to create the ultimate luxury waterside haven.
