By Rebecca Bradbury   11 December 2017

The second edition of the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR) drew to a close yesterday after a successful three-day programme of superyacht displays and bespoke social events in Phuket, Thailand.

Running from 8th to 10th December, the invite-only Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous got South East Asia’s yachting season off to a fine start, showcasing some of the finest superyachts set to be cruising in the region over the upcoming months.

Turning heads all weekend was the 70m/224ft motor yacht ‘Lady Christine’ from Feadship, as well as the 51m/167ft expedition yacht ‘Northern Sun’ from Narasaki Shipyard. These were joined by a variety of other motor and sailing yachts.

The event opened with the King’s Cup Superyacht Experience, where guests were invited to watch the thrilling racing of the King’s Cup regatta aboard one of the yachts in attendance. This was followed by champagne tasting, a cocktail party and the KRSR opening reception.

Day two began with an exclusive cruise, where guests were treated to a private beach barbecue. A Feadship cocktail party aboard Lady Christine and dinner then followed, alongside a dinner hosted by Benetti and VistaJet in a Kata Rocks’ penthouse.
