Preview of the Miami Yacht Show 2018

By Rebecca Bradbury   7 February 2018

Formerly known as Yachts Miami Beach, Miami’s premier luxury yacht show will return to the city on Thursday 15th February rebranded as the Miami Yacht Show to celebrate its 30th anniversary edition.

The five-day, in-water-only display of more than 500 yachts will cover over 1.2 million square feet of space on the iconic Collins Avenue, joined by exhibits of a wide array of the latest marine accessories.

There will also be an invite-only satellite display of world-class superyachts for both sale and charter. Called Superyacht Miami, this element of the show takes place on Watson Island at the Island Gardens Deep Harbour Marina.

As well as its new name, the show will also introduce a new look and layout designed to deliver a superior guest and exhibitor experience and highlight its picturesque setting along Indian Creek Waterway.

Guests will now enter through five artfully designed show entrances, each with attractive way finding graphics and an information booth, and foot traffic has been redirected from the sidewalk to a network of floating docks with food and beverage concessions.

Making her US show debut and the largest yacht in attendance will be the 83m/217ft charter yacht O”MEGA. Fresh from a spectacular refit, she is expected to be one of the must-see yachts of the show, with attendees keen to check out her new look.

Also sure to turn heads is the 73m/240ft charter yacht ‘Grace E'. What’s sets this multi-awarding Picchiotti build apart is her combination of eco-friendly features, dedicated wellness deck and exceptional entertainment and leisure facilities.

Another show-stopper will be Heesen’s 55m/180ft charter yacht ‘Quite Essential’ thanks to the oyster white and dark red paintjob of her profile. But she continues to impress within thanks to her state-of-the-art amenities and modern interior styling.
