Monaco Yacht Show to debut new opening times for 2019 edition

By Katia Damborsky   4 April 2019

The 2019 Monaco Yacht Show will run between Wednesday 25 and Saturday 28 September, with brand new opening times designed to enhance the experience for show-goers.

It has been announced that the Monaco Yacht Show will now be open to the public between 11am and  7.30pm daily with the exception of Saturday, when the show will officially close its doors at 7pm.

Previously, the show opened at 10am and closed at 6.30pm. It is hoped that these new times will cater to private clients wishing to arrive later, and provide a seamless transition between the show and a wide selection of evening functions.

The organisers have said that these times are preferred by their clients, and were chosen after consultation with major yachting companies.

Every year, the Monaco Yacht Show draws in some of the world’s most dazzling superyachts to Port Hercules, and is internationally regarded as the most important event in the global yachting calendar. It is attended by thousands of visitors from around the world, ranging from serious clients to key industry players.

The four days of on-the-water action are complemented by a glitzy social schedule in the heart of Monaco, ranging from cocktail soirees, gala dinners and superyacht parties designed to provide ample opportunities for networking and immersing show-goers in the world of yachting.

The organisers have said that these times are preferred by their clients, and were chosen after consultation with major yachting companies.

Alongside a buzzing social scene, the Monaco Yacht Show plays host to important business meetings, press conferences and valuable seminars.

By extending the evening opening times and providing a later start, the show’s organisers have said that they are aiming to ‘ ease the relentless intensity of the four days of the show.’

Meanwhile, exhibitors and members of the press will have early access between Thursday and Saturday. “Exhibitors can devote their mornings to meeting their colleagues in the exhibition tents, holding press conferences or organizing their day’s work in peace and quiet before welcoming visitors.” The organisers went on.
