Mediterranean Yacht Show to Debut in 2014

By Editorial Team   3 December 2013

Following the formation of new association, the Greek Yachting Association (GYA), the inaugural Mediterranean Yacht Show has now been confirmed to take place between the 3rd and 7th May in the town of Nafplion.

The show will be the first to be organised by the founding members of the GYA, who represent around 90% or Crewed Charter Yachts in Greece, and will be host an impressive line-up of both Greek and foreign flag charter yachts across all size and style categories.

This will give brokers travelling in from around the world an opportunity to get first-hand experience of a wide selection of yachts that are available for charter in Greece and the Mediterranean next summer, in order to then recommend the best to their clients.

The chosen location for the Mediterranean Yacht Show 2014 is the seaport town of Nafplion (Nafplio) in the Peloponnese, which is widely considered as the most beautiful of the Greek mainland towns. Known for its labyrinth of winding streets peppered with Venetian architecture, it also boasts a large modern harbour for the superyachts on show and good hotel accommodation for visiting brokers.

Not far from Nafplion is the island of Poros which set to once again play host to the annual East Med Yacht Show during the same week as this new show, although it is not yet known whether any of the details will be changed. We will of course keep you up to date on both events and bring you more information on registration as soon as it has been released.
