Industry news

Still officially known as Project 706, the 50m (164ft) superyacht is expected to be one of the fastest Feadships on the water and unofficial reports suggest she may be named ‘Totally Nuts’

The all aluminium, custom built project left Feadship’s Aalsmeer outfitting shed early today in preparation for sea trials later this month.

Whilst full details are still to be revealed, pictures suggest a large foredeck lounging area and an oversized aft deck dip pool offering plenty of luxury, along with al fresco dining opportunities on the aft main deck, adjacent to the swim platform.

The two-deck superyacht, with her fast hull, is very much designed for speed and she will be powered by three 16V 2000 M96 MTU engines, delivering a jaw dropping 7,302hp.

Accommodation on board is for ten guests across five cabins, with space for ten crew members as well. Naval architecture and exterior design are the work of De Voogt with Sinot Yacht Design responsible for the interiors.

This comes at a busy time for Feadship. ‘Totally Nuts’ is set to be its fourth launch this year taking to the water after the 100m Moonrise, which was delivered last month, 75m Arrow and 72.85m Podium. A further two superyachts - 54.9m Shinkai and 94m Viva are set to be launched by the end of 2020. The Dutch builder also recently completed a 10-month refit of the 57.6m motor yacht W.

It is not yet known whether ‘Totally Nuts’ will be available for superyacht charters.
