Construction of the Golfito Marina in Costa Rica is now complete, with luxury charter yachts measuring up to 122 metres in length now welcome at the facilities.
The deep-water Golfito Marina is able to accommodate up to six superyachts measuring 107 metres in length plus, and has 132 slips for yachts measuring from 10 to 106 metres.
Located in in Costa Rica’s historic town of Golfito, the new marina sits on the southern Pacific coast on Golfito Bay, about 550 kilometres north of the Panama Canal’s western entrance.
As well as the superyacht slips, the development is made up of private islands with villas, exclusive village residences, an open-air spa and a flagged boutique hotel.
Building of the shore-side facilities is still on-going with the shops at Marina Village half way through completion, and construction of the hotel and private beachfront villas will begin in the second quarter of this year.
Reports also state that further expansion plans for the marina include the building in 2018 of the Crew Campus with complimentary Wi-Fi, concierge services, and a restaurant, fitness centre and lounge facility.
The Golfito Marina Village is a convenient and private hub for luxury travel, and is sure to entice more charter yachts to the region thanks to its proximity to Panama, the Galapagos Islands and Cocos Island, a Costa Rican gem renowned for its natural wonders.
