Charter Yacht SILENCIO Wins on Day One of Millennium Cup

By Editorial Team   21 January 2015

New challenger for this year's Millennium Cup, 50m charter yacht SILENCIO won the Millennium Cup division on day one of the event, with fellow 37m charter yacht BLISS taking third place.

The authentic 'haka' SILENCIO organised at the opening of Day One racing for the 2015 Millennium Cup clearly had a positive effect, as the yacht took the lead on Day One of sailing in the new location of the Bay of Islands. The new destination certainly delivered, with blue skies and plenty of sunshine shining down on the spectacular hills of the New Zealand islands throughout the day.

A pedigree Perini Navi build delivered in 2001, SILENCIO offers outstanding sailing performance for racing or relaxed sailing experience. She has a history of racing excellence, winning the esteemed Perini Navi Cup in 2013. She comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests in five staterooms, including a master suite, a VIP stateroom, two twin cabins and two Pullman berths in a stylish, classically-styled interior.

'Dubois Race Day' also took place yesterday, celebrating the work of designer Dubois, meaning the number of yachts in the water totalled 90. Three fine Dubois yachts are taking place in this year's Millennium Cup: SILVERTIP, JANICE OF WYOMING and BLISS.
