2026 Miami International Boat Show Unveils Redesigned Layout Ahead of Landmark 85th Edition

By Anna Ingles   5 December 2025

The 2026 Miami International Boat Show has announced a major redesign for its milestone 85th edition, promising a more streamlined and immersive visitor experience when it returns 11–15 February 2026.

Spanning three primary locations, the refreshed layout marks a significant evolution for an event long celebrated as a key winter showcase for motor yacht charters, new-build launches, and exclusive products, particularly for those considering buying or renting Miami yacht charters for the season ahead.

In a defining shift for 2026, the show confirms the highly anticipated return of the Miami Beach Yacht Collection on Collins Avenue, restoring in-water yacht displays to Miami Beach for the first time since 2018. The edition will also see the debut of Sailor’s Cove at IGY Yacht Haven Grande Miami, a dedicated hub celebrating sailing yachts, multihulls, gear, and lifestyle.

A Reimagined Footprint for the 85th Miami International Boat Show

“This year’s redesigned format represents a significant evolution in our 85-year history,” shared Andrew Doole, President of U.S. Boat Shows at Informa Markets. “The new layout improves how visitors experience every boat category.”

Doole emphasized that the changes reflect extensive planning and direct exhibitor and attendee feedback, forming a more intuitive and connected show footprint. The updated layout for the Miami International Boat Show strategically links all venues, optimizing guest flow and creating a seamless journey across categories and brands.

These updates ensure smoother navigation and a more connected experience.

Miami Beach Yacht Collection Returns to Collins Avenue

Perhaps the most dramatic shift is the reinstated Miami Beach Yacht Collection, which will line the iconic Indian Creek with an impressive in-water showcase from leading builders including Azimut, Absolute, Ferretti, Galeon, Mangusta, Pardo, Prestige, Sanlorenzo, Sunreef, Sunseeker, Tiara, Viking, and more.

“Bringing the in-water yacht display back to Collins Avenue delivers what our yacht exhibitors and clients have been requesting,” explained Paul Flannery, COO of the International Yacht Brokers Association. He added that Collins Avenue’s visibility, set steps from the Fontainebleau and Eden Roc, creates an ideal atmosphere for serious buyers and further enhances the appeal of new models and brokerage yachts alike.

Operational updates accompanying the relocation also aim to improve accessibility, traffic flow, and brand exposure, revitalising a waterfront long associated with Miami’s rich boating culture.

Sailor’s Cove: A New Destination for Sailing Enthusiasts

Making its debut in 2026, Sailor’s Cove at IGY Yacht Haven Grande Miami will serve as a comprehensive sailing-focused destination within the show. The space will bring together sailboats, catamaran yacht charters, rigging and tech exhibitors, marine education, and live demonstrations.

Upgraded docks and marina amenities will complement the experience, alongside a dedicated Park & Ride system. Visitors can also expect hands-on instruction through on-site training sessions led by the Annapolis School of Seamanship, reinforcing the show’s commitment to boating education and accessibility.

“Positioning the Yacht Collection closer to the show’s main hub and creating a cohesive destination for sailing are both rooted in delivering what attendees consistently ask for: ease,” shared Frank Hugelmeyer, President & CEO of the National Marine Manufacturers Association.

What It Means for the Miami Yacht Charter Market

For those considering Miami yacht charters or exploring charter routes across Florida and the wider U.S. coastline, the redesigned show promises an even more dynamic platform for discovering new superyacht builds, charter-ready yacht debuts, and luxury lifestyle innovations.

As one of the most influential events in the world of luxury yacht charters in North America, the 2026 Miami International Boat Show is poised to deliver its most connected and compelling edition yet, aligning perfectly with the heightened demand for charter experiences across Miami, Palm Beach, and the broader Caribbean gateway.
