The 129.92ft Conversion expedition motor yacht 'Phoenix' was built by Davie, she was delivered to her owner in 1973 and last refitted in 2008. The yacht's interior has been designed by Chuck Paine.
Phoenix's interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 11 guests overnight in 6 cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard in 5 cabins to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Originally built as a North Atlantic, fishing trawler, the new configuration eliminated the fish hold and created a new deck from the engine room aft to the lazarette. The original stern has been altered for a ladder, toys locker and dive platform. The new lower deck contains a massive engine room with redundant propulsion; large work shop; Captain's quarters with queen bed and head; four double berth crew cabins that share two heads; crew lounge and a storage room with chest freezer and a full size fridge.
Phoenix features a full displacement steel hull and steel superstructure, with teak decks. She was built to Unknown classification society rules.
Powered by 1 Caterpillar (Father + Son SMOH - 2005) 1,200hp diesel engines, 1 Caterpillar (Father + Son SMOH - 2005) 420hp diesel engines and propelled by her single screw propeller Motor yacht Phoenix is capable of a top speed of 12 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 138,588 litres fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 13,000 nautical miles. Her water tanks store around 18,372 litres of fresh water.
