This multitude of cultural offerings and breath taking backdrops has long made Miami one of the most popular vacation destinations in the United States and also one of the most impressive superyacht cruising regions in the world. The megalopolis is renowned for its electrifying nightlife social scene with a wealth of hotspots ranging from energetic downtown salsa clubs to the latest celebrity-packed cocktail bar.
Possibly the most famous Miami attraction, South Beach or SoBe, has been pulling in the beautiful people, ubiquitous hipsters and surfers in their droves for years. Located on the barrier island of Miami Beach that separates Biscayne Bay from the Atlantic Ocean, the area is easily accessible via various causeways from the mainland. The district boasts a huge collection of restaurants, clubs, boutiques, hotels, all encompassed by a very international, cosmopolitan atmosphere. Many of the clubs and restaurants are fairly exclusive meaning guest-list entry may be necessary so talk to your charter broker or a company such as VIP South Beach before you embark on your charter vacation.
In addition to the opportunities for revelry and cultural indulgence in Miami, there are also some of the most spectacular examples of natural beauty to behold. The Everglades – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, International Biosphere Reserve, and Wetland of International Importance – should be a highlight for any superyacht vacation in Miami. There are a number of different ways to enjoy the Everglades in style including kayaking through the creeks and getting a birds-eye view on board a float plane.
