Spend the morning wandering around the charming side streets and at every turn, you will find something new to marvel at. With an exploding food scene and varied places to shop, Porvoo has many unique areas for you to explore including the spectacular Brunberg Chocolates. Established in Porvoo in 1871, this shop is home to many tasty traditional Finnish candies and licorice that you must try during your time here. It is very easy to get back to nature in Porvoo with a picturesque forest just a few steps beyond the old town so enjoy an afternoon of hiking up Iso Linnamäki and see where a medieval Swedish castle once stood, boasting spectacular views, this hike is like walking back into ancient times.
- Day 3
Cruising West, wave to the lighthouse at Söderskär as you make your way to the idyllic island of Barösund, the perfect place to anchor down and enjoy the peaceful tranquility from your yacht.
Set within a narrow fjord-like passage, guests can enjoy the calm waters, charming vermillion wooden homes and beautiful pine forests that encompass this beautiful island. Spend the day exploring the village and surrounding forests or simply relax and feast your eyes on the glorious views from the yacht. To cap off your day here, head to the delightful restaurant Skola, named after the old school house in which the restaurant was set. Today is the day to enjoy a unique dining experience on your very own private island.
Arrive on the picturesque island of Torrharyn where your yacht charter broker will have arranged the ultimate dining experience for you and your guests to enjoy. Local couple Gunilla and Niklas Nordblad open their beautiful wooden home every summer to visitors, who come from all over to feast on extraordinarily good meals produced using zero electricity. Instead, you can enjoy the freshly-caught fish cooked using a traditional Finnish elder smoker, giving a rich depth of flavor that has to be tasted to be believed. In the late afternoon, head back onboard and your captain will take you to the finest fishing spots in Finland where you can observe the unique indigenous wildlife that roams here.
- Day 6
Enjoy a fresh breakfast on board and get ready for another unforgettable day exploring the world’s largest archipelago.
Continuing west, your yacht will arrive at Helsingholm Guest Harbor, a welcoming harbor that is also incredibly scenic. The island’s nature is particularly fascinating with something new to see at every turn. There is also a sauna on the island for you to enjoy and if you’re feeling adventurous, once you've had your fill of the heat, the Finnish practice of taking a refreshing dip straight away is an absolute must, lower yourself into the sea and feel the health benefits straight away. The trick is to just go for it, and we promise you’ll be smiling from ear to ear all day.
- Day 7
Arriving in the pretty and unspoiled town of Nagu, you are likely to be blown away by the beauty and charm of this area.
Venture inland and you will see plenty of red and white cottages, the staple of the Finnish landscape and many beautiful sights and picture-perfect vistas. Spend the day venturing through the stunning nature trails, berry picking, fishing, or swimming with your family and friends. The long summer nights often mean the sun doesn't go down until midnight so there is plenty of time to enjoy outdoor activities here. In the evening, head back on board and enjoy cocktails served by your crew and soak up the gorgeous ambiance from your sundeck.
- Day 8
Wake up to a day full of possibilities in the wonderful Jurmo, an interesting island on the southernmost edge of the archipelago.
With only low-lying vegetation able to cling to this barren landscape, Jurmo feels like another world where time seems to slow down giving guests the opportunity to soak in the otherworldly scenery and completely relax on the final full day of their Finland yacht charter vacation. However, for those who want to continue the adventure, Jurmo is one of the best places for bird-watching thanks to its wide heather heaths and rocky shores, this is an ideal habitat to witness many rare sea birds. After a day of exploring or relaxing, sit on board your yacht and admire the sunset for one final time.
- Day 9
Cruising past the wonderful Bengtskär lighthouse on your way back to Helsinki, take in all the fantastic sea views and don’t miss the opportunity to spot the outstanding Suomenlinna fortress before pulling back into Helsinki Harbor.
