A change to the schedule and an increase in prize money means 2013 will see a slightly different US Open.

Stop off and enjoy the stunning Manhattan skyline while you experience the fabulous US Open on your luxury yacht charter vacation.

The last of the four Grand Slam events, over 700,000 people are expected to attend the 2013 US Open, where more than $20 million prize money will be awarded. The recently confirmed £4 million increase in prize money this year will bring the total US Open prize money to $29.5 million.

Another change to this years tournament will see a slight alteration to the schedule. With player's requesting a day of rest between the singles semi-finals and the finals, this year's Open is scheduled to conclude on Monday 9th September, as opposed to the usual Sunday. As well as this extra day, the women's singles semi-finals will be played in one day on Friday 6th September with the final taking place in the Sunday 8th at 16:30 ET, when the men's singles final was traditionally played.

As usual, the men's singles semi-finals will be played in one day on Saturday 7th September, with the finalists competing on Monday for the winning place. To accommodate this new schedule, there will be no matches played on the second Saturday night of the tournament.

These moves make the tournament stronger than it’s ever been for all players.
