Falmouth Docks, UK
Organised every two years by Pendennis Shipyard, the UK summer regatta known as the Pendennis Cup is one of the most competitive and fun fixtures on the superyacht racing circuit.
Taking place in the Cornish town of Falmouth, situated on the southwest coast of England, the four-day regatta showcases modern and classic superyachts as they fight against each other for the top spot.
The challenging sailing conditions presented by UK waters adds to the drama, as competitors have to exploit clever tactics to balance the extremes of tide and weather.
The event attracts a fleet of 10 to 15 sailing yachts and over 600 guests to Falmouth to watch the stunning spectacle. Open to any modern or classic superyacht over 24 metres, the regatta presents the unique opportunity for owner’s to race their vessels, and is timed to provide the perfect addition to any Northern Europe cruising season.
To complement the competitive sailing, there is also a full shore-side programme that displays the very best in Cornish cuisine and hospitality.
