Thailand Yacht Show 2016

Ao Po Grand Marina, Phuket

15 - 18 Dec 2016

By Rebecca Bradbury

The Thailand Yacht Show will return to Phuket’s Ao Po Grand Marina in December for its second edition of showcasing the best of South East Asia’s charter industry and to kick-start the winter cruising season.

After the resounding success of its inaugural event, the Thailand Yacht Show will once again shine the spotlight on superyachts and charter clients as well as the marine industry in general.

Providing a platform to support and develop business in Thailand and the wider region, the event is seen as a key tool in the country’s campaign to enable foreign superyachts to charter in its waters.

Bringing the show dates forward from February to December ensures the event coincides with the start of the region’s winter charter season and hopes to attract more Mediterranean-based yachts.

The Ao Po Grand Marina provides an excellent base for the show due to its ability to house 260 yachts measuring 100 metres or more in length and its close proximity to the beautiful cruising grounds of Phang Nga Bay.

The organizers are doing a great job to raise the awareness of chartering in South East Asia, and we’re certainly hoping to attract more charter clients and more owners here.
