Europe’s longest running regatta, the Superyacht Cup Palma, will return to the Bay of Palma for four days of thrilling racing and lively social events in June 2019.
Warm early summer conditions and reliable sea breezes make Mallorca’s Bay of Palma an idyllic setting for the ever-popular regatta. The event will, as always, attract some of the finest superyachts on the regatta circuit, all hoping to be crowned 2019’s overall champion.
Organised by highly experienced race officers and the team at Real Club Nautico de Palma, the fixture usually involves a day of J-Class racing before the superyacht fleet takes to the water for three days of competition.
Running alongside the racing will be a relaxed, informal social programme. Participants can expect the likes of a welcome cocktail party, happy hours, dock parties and barbecues.
There will also be fun events for crews to participate in, including the Pendennis Paddleboard Challenge, and a prize-giving ceremony will round-up proceedings on the final evening.
When not out on the water, the fleet of yachts will be moored stern-to-stern in the Superyacht Cup Regatta Village at Muelle Viejo. This marina has the iconic Palma Cathedral and palm tree-lined Paseo Maritimo providing a gorgeous backdrop.
It’s possible to be at the heart of the thrilling action yourself by undertaking a regatta charter. Alternatively, take in the happenings from the comfort of a luxury charter yacht before exploring what else the beautiful island of Mallorca has to offer those visiting by superyacht.
