The 21st edition of the Bucket in St. Barths is set to be another phenomenal mix of racing and social events, attended by spirited spectators and competitors.
St. Barths Bucket Regatta is one of the most popular and prestigious invitational sailing yacht races in the yachting calendar, with a spectacular array of sailboat brands, luxury charter yachts and superyachts gathering in one place for 3 days a year.
With four competitions organised by the Bucket Association, 30 yachts of over 30m/100ft will be competing around the beautiful Caribbean island. This regatta is extremely unique as owners and crews are free to experiment on the capabilities of their yacht for a safe and yet thoroughly enjoyable event.
The regatta is ultimately a pursuit race and is comprised of a number of interesting rules including, any yachts being too competitive or aggressive will be excluded, all yachts must rely on sail power-only at the start, and any protests are to come with champagne.
Visitors are attracted to the myriad of social activities just as much as the enthralling comradery racing, as Gustavia Harbour comes alive to a host of social parties and gatherings, ideal for networking and celebrating the new regatta season.
