February (Dates to be announced)

By Katia Damborsky

The 13th edition of RORC Caribbean 2021 will bring a convoy of sailing yachts together in Antigua for five days of on-the-water action.

Spanning 600 nautical miles, RORC Caribbean 2021 will see around 80 yachts go head to head to be crowned the winner.

A challenging circuit requires accuracy, precision and a strong foundation of teamwork, as the boats circumnavigate 11 Caribbean islands as part of the thrilling regatta.

The races

Setting course from Fort Charlotte in Antigua, the competitors make a beeline for St Martin, before returning southwards towards Guadeloupe. Along the way, the fleet will pass Barbuda, St Kitts and St Barts.

Against the blissful Caribbean backdrop, with Trade Winds creating ideal sailing conditions, the races provide an excellent opportunity for those looking to experience the joy of a regatta charter.

The social scene

The event provides a great way for sailors from around the globe to connect with the Caribbean yachting community, and as such, a glitzy social programme will ensure participants can meet each other and network over a shared passion for sailing.

A welcome party will inaugurate proceedings, while an awards ceremony to honour the winner will round off the 2021 edition of the event.

The regatta provides a great opportunity for a charter vacation, whether you’re a professional sailor or an amateur enthusiast. If you would like to know more about participating in the event or chartering a superyacht in the Caribbean, please get in touch with your preferred yacht charter broker.
