The Millennium Cup is to grace New Zealand's waters once again at the beginning of 2016 for one of the most anticipated regattas of the sailing calendar.
The sixth addition of the highly regarded NZ Millennium Cup will be partnering for another year running with the Bay of Islands Sailing Week for an exceptional week of thrilling racing and impeccable hospitality.
Organised by the NZ Marine Export Group, the event is running alongside the Bay Week races for three days of spectacular superyacht racing where the racing will be tenser and the atmosphere will be bustling with excitement. For an even more competitive atmosphere it has been announced that the regatta will also be hosting the IRC Nationals.
The regatta offers an array of challenging courses that make the most of the spectacular scenery, and raced to the International Super Yacht Rule ensures that each and every yacht that participates will have an equal chance to win.
Superyacht enthusiasts are offered a brilliant opportunity to be part of this fun-filled event in one of the country’s most beautiful sailing playgrounds, providing visitors with an insight into the diversity New Zealand waters and cruising grounds presents for yacht charters.
Off-water the regatta is as equally entertaining, showcasing the best of New Zealand seafood, produce and wine in a variety of luxury venues overlooking the water. The focus is designed wholly on superyacht owners, guests and crew being able to enjoy a fun, relaxed and undeniably electrifying regatta at the height of the New Zealand summer.
