Port Hercule, Monaco, France

Final week in September

By Editorial Team

The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is one of the most prestigious yachting events in the world with more than 125 superyachts and nearly 600 companies exhibiting each year.

Held annually towards the end of September, MYS is the most anticipated meet in the superyacht industry's calendar and allows world-leading yacht builders and designers, luxury manufacturers and esteemed brokerage houses to mingle with important clientele and potential customers.

Running for more than 25 years, the show is the only opportunity to admire, visit and purchase more than 120 one-off superyachts in one place. Spread across Monaco’s iconic Port Hercules, the four-day event is the setting for around 45 new launches, with room to accommodate yachts of over 100 metres LOA.

Also gracing the scene each year are 580 exhibitors, including yachting services, nautical suppliers, shipyards and interior and yacht designers. MYS encompasses a strict selection of exhibiting companies to ensure all products on display are current and of the highest quality.

In 2017, a brand new exhibition space dedicated to the superyachting lifestyle known as Starboard was introduced, alongside a brand new exhibition area devoted entirely to the trendiest luxury tenders and water toys on the market. There was also an inaugural opening ceremony, which included the presentation of the Monaco Yacht Show Awards.

The most recent developments, to be launched at the 2018 edition, sees a change in layout. In response to the new look Quai des Etats-Unis, the jetty will now be dedicated to brokerage houses, shipyards and designers, exhibiting in front of the yachts they represent. This is expected to enhance the overall visitor experience and forms part of the plan to future-proof the event.

The free bus and boat shuttles, and golf cart network make getting around the show hassle-free or, for a more personal experience, courtesy cars are provided for multipass badge holders. Future superyacht owners and charterers can also take advantage of the VIP Sapphire Experience.
