Miami Superyacht Rendezvous 2015

Fisher Island, Miami

12 - 14 Nov 2015

By Charlotte Ashley

One of the world’s largest gatherings of superyachts in the name of charity is set to return at South Florida’s shores this November.

The 28th Rendezvous will take place at Miami's Fisher Island from Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 November and raise funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County – celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Last year’s Rendezvous raised more than $1 million annually for the Florida-based non-profit cause, which helps 12, 500 at-risk children every year. Organisers hope the 2015 Rendezvous will raise at least $1 million more so young people in need can access after-school programmes, food and other help.

One of the most popular parts of the 3-day event is the ‘Yacht Hop’ tour of attending luxury yachts. A 200ft superyacht has already been confirmed for the event, with as many as 20 expected to take part.

The Rendezvous kicks off on Thursday evening with the Yacht Hop, a large fireworks display, entertainment, a silent auction and delicious dining. Friday will involve a themed party, before 1970’s girl group The Pointer Sisters, renowned for their hit, ‘I’m So Excited’ headline a black-tie gala on Saturday night.

Previous editions of the event have been hosted in the Bahamas before coming to Florida this year.
