Regularly hosting around 100 Mediterranean yacht charters, the Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) is a showcase of streamlined sailing and motor yacht charters that operate within the region. Including a good mix of brand new and refitted yachts, visitors to the event have a unique opportunity to learn more about this season's hottest yacht rentals.
Bringing together industry professionals from across the globe, the Mediterranean Yacht Show serves as a key meeting point for brokers, captains, and crew. Far more than a showcase, the event offers direct access to insider knowledge from those most familiar with Greece’s leading charter yachts. With its prime location in Nafplion and strong focus on Greek island cruising, MEDYS stands out as a valuable experience for anyone involved in yacht ownership or charter planning.
Those attending the show can take part in guided yacht tours, meet brand representatives, and even enjoy sea trials. Beyond the yachts, the show’s vibrant social program—including evening events and networking mixers—helps build connections while promoting Greece yacht charters as a world-class choice for prospective charter clients.
Known to attract some of the biggest shipyards every year, visitors to MEDYS can expect to see a sparkling selection of expert craftsmanship from shipyards. Some of the latest yachts to have attended the event include 164.1ft (50m) luxury yacht charter LA PELLEGRINA 1, 213.3ft (65m) superyacht charter ARTISAN, and 165.8ft (50.5m) charter yacht TOTEM.
In addition to the lineup of motor and sailing yacht charters, MEDYS is also known for hosting the popular Chef's Competition. Encouraging attending superyacht chefs to put their skills to the test, the annual competition presents unique themes with a challenge to create a three-course meal that adheres to pre-set requirements.
Involving specific ingredients or regional cuisines, some of the past themes used in the competition have included Gourmet Beach Food in 2019 and Zero Waste From the Greek Seas in 2023.
Independently judged by a curated panel of judges, the entries are analyzed on a range of aspects, including flavor, innovation, and presentation. Previous winners from the competition include Chef Aristeidis Vlachogiannis of 154.2ft (47m) superyacht charter AFRICA I in 2024, and Chef Tatiana Konstantidi of 121.1ft (36.91m) luxury yacht charter HAKUNA MATATA in 2023.
