The 8th edition of the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta is set to be more exhilarating than ever, as exquisite sail and motor yachts race around the picturesque British Virgin Islands.
Over four days, the beautiful Virgin Gorda in the British Virigin Islands brings together friends, family and owners of sail and motor yachts, modern and classic, performance and cruising vessels from around the world to compete in spectacular racing, fun activities and an exclusive social program.
Organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS), the event has rapidly grown and has become renowned for its perfect sailing conditions that are suitable for the variety of charter yachts that are eager to take part.
The event is designed for sail and motor yachts over 80 feet and an eagerly anticipated entry for 2016 is be the impressive 59m/192ft Perini Navi superyacht SEAHAWK, one of the largest yachts in the fleet and returning 2015 winner of Class B. After her thrilling involvement against the Royal Huisman WISP in the 2015 regatta, next year could not come faster.
After racing there are a plethora of social events held at the YCCS’s facilities from cocktails to beach parties, where there will undoubtedly be talk of the days racing and speculations of what’s to come.
