Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi

By Editorial Team

Since its highly acclaimed debut in 2009, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has become a leading event on the sporting calendar.

Crowds of more than 50,000 spectators descend onto Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, to witness the final race of the Formula 1 World Championship. Sponsored by Etihad Airways, the race takes place on the ground-breaking Yas Marina Circuit which was designed by renowned Grand Prix architect Hermann Tilke.

The 55 laps start as the Middle Eastern sun begins to set and ends in a beautifully illuminated blur of the world’s most spectacular supercars under the night sky. After each race, additional entertainment comes in the form of A-list performances in the du Arena, with previous shows boasting the likes of Prince and Beyoncé.

The instant popularity of this prestigious event has seen Yas Island become a hub of superyacht activity throughout the weekend, attracting some of the world’s most impressive luxury superyachts into Yas Marina.

Open to the public throughout the duration of the event, Yas Marina offers superb berthing options for motor yachts and sailing yachts up to 150m in length, as well as a number of luxury facilities to make use of between the racing. Specifically, there are restaurants and bars available to keep everyone refreshed and entertained.

With 'Track' and 'Non Track' berths available, charter guests are able to use their superyacht as either an observation platform or as a sanctuary to return to after soaking up all of the action.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is the perfect event for an unforgettable private or corporate yacht charter where you can experience fantastic views of the drama as it unfolds in a luxury setting like no other.
