The CROYA Charter Show is annually on display around Zapadna Obala in Split, a waterfront location offering direct access to the attending charter yachts while placing visitors within easy reach of the city’s historic attractions and hospitality venues.
The compact layout allows brokers to efficiently move between yachts while experiencing the atmosphere of one of Croatia’s most important maritime hubs.
The primary exhibition area, Zapadna Obala, hosts the majority of attending yacht charters, with yachts berthed along Split’s waterfront promenade.
The location provides convenient access for yacht inspections, captain meetings, and networking opportunities, while also offering impressive views across the Adriatic and towards Marjan Hill.
Beyond the yacht displays, the surrounding waterfront area provides restaurants, cafes, and event spaces used throughout the show for social gatherings and industry functions.
Its proximity to Split’s Old Town also allows visitors to combine professional appointments with the city’s historic landmarks, including Diocletian’s Palace.
The CROYA Charter Show plays an important role in strengthening Croatia’s position as a leading East Mediterranean yacht charter destination.
By bringing brokers directly together with yacht owners, operators, captains, and crew, the event provides valuable insight into the realities of chartering in the region, from yacht capabilities and crew expertise to itinerary planning and local experiences.
For charter professionals, the show offers an opportunity to understand the nuances that define Croatian yacht charters, including:
- Island-hopping routes through the Dalmatian archipelago
- Access to secluded bays and protected anchorages
- Historic coastal towns combined with modern marina facilities
- Authentic culinary and cultural experiences ashore
This first-hand knowledge allows brokers to create more tailored recommendations for guests looking to explore Croatia by sailing or motor yacht charter.
Since its inaugural edition, the CROYA Charter Show has showcased an impressive selection of Croatia and Split yacht rentals operating throughout the Adriatic.
The attending fleet typically represents the most popular charter categories in Croatia, including motor yachts, sailing yachts, and catamaran yacht charters, with vessels ranging from approximately 65ft (20m) to over 180ft (55m).
The gleaming fleet attending the CROYA Charter Show represents multiple niches for a great all-around view of the Croatian charter experience, covering motor, catamaran, and sailing yacht charters. There's something for every prospective client at the show.
Some of the showstopping yacht rentals to appear at the show so far include 158.2ft (48.2m) luxury yacht charter FREEDOM, 132ft (40.23m) yacht rental HAPPY ME from the fleet of Benetti yachts for charter, and 131.9ft (40.16m) superyacht charter MIRAGE IV.
In addition to the ensemble of East Mediterranean yacht charters lining the Zapadna obala, the CROYA Charter Show also plays host to a Chef's Competition. A particular favorite of other European events like the MYBA Charter Show, a Chef's Competition is a friendly but competitive attraction, allowing attending superyacht chefs to showcase their skills to create culinary masterpieces.
Judged by a panel of three independent judges, competing chefs are challenged to create a three-course meal, which is then judged based on varying criteria.
As well as the Chef's Competition, visiting crew members are also invited to take part in the Designer Water Competition by CYBA (Charter Yacht Brokers Association), along with exclusive invitations to social events throughout the duration of the show including a closing party in the Diocletian’s Palace cellars.
