May (Dates to be announced)
Highlighting Australia’s burgeoning superyacht sector and lush cruising grounds, the Australian Superyacht Rendezvous 2020 will be back for an action-packed two days at Gold Coast City Marina this May.
Making a triumphant return for its fourth edition, the 2020 Australian Superyacht Rendezvous is set for success.
The event will provide the perfect opportunity for yachting professionals from a myriad of different yacht-related industries to network and share insight on Australasia’s booming superyacht scene.
The 2020 fleet
Hosted at Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard, the Queensland-based yachting meet will provide a stellar line-up of yachts, both privately owned and available for crewed yacht charter vacations in Australia.
While the event has traditionally focused on luxury yachts based or built in Australia, last year marked a first when the 63m/ 208ft charter yacht SuRi confirmed her attendance.
The move was good naturedly-described as a ‘coup’, but it means that the Australian Superyacht Rendezvous may be shifting focus onto yachts which cruise in the surrounding regions, such as Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
There will be numerous chances for attendees to tour the charter yachts on display, gathering first-hand information and enjoying the sunny setting.
Social and informative events
The Australian Superyacht Rendezvous 2020 will kick off with a roundtable discussion that will hear from around 100 guest speakers specializing in a broad range of expert fields. These include tourism, leisure, hospitality and travel.
Last year was the first edition of the show to introduce a Micro Expo which was hailed as a valuable opportunity for manufacturers, suppliers and designers to present their products and services to attendees.
Proceedings will be enlivened by yacht hops, a cocktail party and a VIP event on the last night that will see fireworks light up the sky.
The Australian Superyacht Rendez will be the ideal backdrop for those looking to get to grips with the Australia-Pacific charter market and discover more about the region’s cruising grounds.
The host venue, the Gold Coast City Marina, is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, with a capacity for more than 50 superyachts at any one time.
Known for being safe and steeped in natural beauty, Australia has so much diversity as a yacht charter destination. From the sandy beaches of the Whitsundays to the incredible marine life inhabiting the Great Barrier Reef, Australia is a paradise for superyachts.
The Australian Superyacht Rendezvous aims to celebrate and further enhance the potential of the superyacht sector in Australia; if you’d like to discover more, please reach out to your preferred yacht charter broker.
