A video from Visit Greece expertly showcases the beauty of the unexplored islands on offer to those who choose to spend their charter vacation in its crystalline waters.

Along with other historic charter destinations in the Mediterranean, Greece has long been a summertime favorite among the world’s elite travellers.

As well as offering an inviting climate and a number of historic ports, the country possess a culture which welcomes visitors with open arms, treating them to a range of memorable sights and signature dishes.

Of course, all of this is sure to keep guests wholly occupied, but by pushing the yacht a little further out, it’s possible to access some of the most impressive and unexplored islands out there.

Starting out with Alonissos, the video expertly illustrates the white sands which fringe its clear waters. Perfect for a spot of swimming or fishing, the island is home to a small village community and quaint vineyards.

Moving on to Nisyros, the footage reveals the options on offer in a municipality which is mentioned in Greek mythology. For those keen to get amongst such rich history, there are a number of monasteries on the island of Saint Nikitas which are regularly used for popular celebrations.

Elsewhere in the municipality, there are several islets which provide undisturbed quiet in a setting which few of even the most popular charter destinations can lay claim to.

Whilst Greece offers plenty of charm on its mainland, the surrounding islands are undiscovered gems in every sense of the expression

Concluding its brief tour of Greece’s lesser known islands with some shots of Folegandros, the video nicely tempts the viewer with a taste of the traditional architecture and coast lines on offer.

The island is made up of three modestly sized villages (Chora, Karavostasis, and Ano Meria) and features a richly varied landscape which allows visitors to go from caves to sequestered beaches to the historic streets within minutes.

Celebrating its lengthy history, there is an ecological and folklore museum which provides an interactive and engaging means of learning about the many episodes of the island’s past.
