Daydream Island

Described as the jewel of the Whitsundays, Daydream Island makes up one of the seven islands of the Molle Group, nestled off the coast nearby Airlie Beach. Among Daydream’s highlights are the idyllic Lover’s Cove, a man-made outdoor aquarium known as the Living Reef and Sunlover’s Beach. Fringed with coral outcrops, and containing more than 40 marine fish species and 50 coral varieties, the beach is a snorkeler’s paradise. Back on land, hikers can traverse through the dense jungle to reach the island’s peak, where lush vegetation is inhabited by parrots and tiny sunbirds.
