A handful of superyachts are built to cater to the Australia luxury yacht charter market. With her large, exuberant deck spaces, helicopter facilities and a central saloon and bar area - which acts as a hub of activity on the yacht, whether hosting of simply sitting back and relaxing is in the agenda – the 43-metre (139ft) TANGO faultlessly delivers the ultimate platform from which to enjoy the sights of Australia, and boasts A-list fans including actor Kevin Spacey.
Delivered in 2006 by Austal, following the completion of 69m/228ft motor yacht SALUZI, she was built to effortlessly combine the luxuries of the most highly-regarded superyachts with the robust build quality of a go-anywhere yacht.
Whether a first-timer or seasoned visitor to the country’s shores, she is the ideal choice for absorbing the buzz of Sydney, visiting the emerald-topped hills of Pittwater, the towering skyline of Queensland or discovering the Great Barrier Reef and white sands of the Whitsunday Islands.
Modern in style, her interior is best described as ‘bright and bold,’ creating a lively environment which invites guests in to relax, socialise and most importantly, enjoy themselves. As many as 80 guests can come aboard for cocktail-sipping, swimming pool-dipping and a good time. Styled with touch-me textures of suede, super-soft carpets and richly grained woods, her flexible layout of a full-beam master suite, three double staterooms and a convertible cabin sleeps up to 10 guests overnight.
TANGO's 42 and a half metres even accommodate a sauna, for guests looking to unwind to an even greater extent on board.
Last winter TANGO did not just emerge from a refit in up-to-date condition, installed with the latest technology, but 5 metres longer. Quite the feat for a shipyard, TANGO’s extension was more than the recent lengthening of Heesen motor yacht ‘Seven Sins’ (2.3 metres) and Feadship superyacht GO (4 metres) earlier this year.
Creating more deck space wasn’t the sole purpose of the transformation either, now with a touch-n-go helipad, entertaining deck complete with dance floor and Beach Club (with a convertible sofa) on offer for guests. In turn this ensures easy access to her kayaks, snorkelling gear and two 6-metre tenders for jetting family and friends to and from your festivities to shore.
