Keen to check out the latest refit on board the largest aluminum sailing yacht in the world, the team at YachtCharterFleet spent an afternoon learning about the endlessly fascinating 64m/210ft sailing yacht ‘Spirit of the C’s’.
Combining the award-winning Perini Navi pedigree with the similarly iconic naval architecture of Ron Holland, the continually updated sailing yacht is a product of unsurpassed genius.
Sure to make an immediate impression on charter guests, the main salon of sailing yacht Spirit of the C’s is effortlessly modern, with bright white furnishings and panelling accented by mid-range teak flooring.
While, at first, it might not appear to be necessary in either the Caribbean or the Mediterranean, the fireplace which frames the central communal space is actually the perfect accompaniment to the intimate setting and is fantastic to return to following a day out on the water.
Updated as part of her most recent refit, the interior styling makes good use of a light colour palette, with flashes of silver and light olive producing an inviting and refreshing atmosphere throughout both the social and guest areas.
Described as ‘Parisian-chic’, the urban styling of the sailing yacht unfolds over a generous internal volume, with freshly installed windows forming a seamless flow with the similarly vast exterior.
The meeting point of style and performance, Spirit of the C’s offers a wholly unique charter experience
Supported by a regatta-winning performance, the long waterline of the yacht produces a dynamic hull speed which allows guests to enjoy such finely arranged interior spaces whilst effortlessly making a passage to their next destination.
Thanks to the major engineering overhaul, which took place during the 2015 refit, brand new engines, generators, and electrical systems have all been put in place to ensure even greater power than before.
Heading down the broad staircase to the cabins on the lower deck, charter guests are sure to be struck by the tranquil ambience of the passageways. Rare for even the largest motor yachts out there, the dimensions of the corridor allow for guests to walk together when leaving the salon for their accommodation- a subtle yet remarkable feature.
Before entering the master suite at the aft, guests pass the four doubles which are situated amidships. Treated to the same meticulous attention as the main salon, these particular guest spaces feature marble ensuite facilities to ensure the utmost convenience when spending time apart from the party.
Complete with a spacious private lounge, the full-beam master suite forms a luxurious sanctuary for the principal charter guest. Whether they want to kick back with a movie on the large television, or unwind with a few cocktails on the sofa, they’ll find themselves doing so effortlessly.
With numerous circular lights producing shafts of light from overhead, this section of the yacht enjoys the same enlivening atmosphere which can be enjoyed elsewhere, with the added advantage of improved privacy.
A short distance away from the lounge, the sleeping area is comprised of a large king size bed with attendant lamps attached to the wall to provide convenient lighting for some bedtime reading.
Whilst the ensuites attached to the doubles feature showers, the marble bathroom adjoining the master cabin includes his and hers sinks as well as a sizeable bathtub.
Heading to the upper deck, charter guests will find themselves seduced by an attractive alternative to the main salon. With its fully-stocked wine cooler and attendant bar, this section enjoys a number of surrounding windows to optimise the flow of natural light.
Suitable by day and by night, the implementation of a casual dining table allows guests to tuck into a light lunch whilst the television screen is perfectly positioned for the party to gather on the sofas for a movie night.
Effortlessly sophisticated and entirely refreshing, Spirit of the C’s is a sailing yacht of considerable distinction
As the transitional space between the interior and exterior, the skylounge is sure to be a popular retreat for guests exploring the sailing yacht’s cruising grounds, thanks to its bright and welcoming arrangement.
What’s more, with highly practical access to the newly extended sundeck, it’s possible to go from taking in the sun and the sights to sipping a few cocktails within only a matter of moments.
Perhaps the most striking feature out on the exterior of Spirit of the C’s is the elevated crow’s nest which allows charter guests to look out across their cruising grounds in superbly unique fashion.
It should also be mentioned that the sailing yacht received a fresh paint job during her refit, making her just as impressive to those looking in as those looking out.
Whilst there was once a bespoke seat set up for a sport of sports fishing from the aft, this particular feature has been removed in order to open up the space for guests to gather closer to the water, a decision which has paid off marvellously.
Completely rebuilt and refurbished, the guest cockpit area on board the sailing yacht is another exterior space which is sure to magnetize charter guests as they step onto the exterior to enjoy their surroundings.
Flanked by large glass windows and furnished with sofa seating, the area serves as an inviting and uncluttered exterior lounge space with plenty of natural light to keep things lively.
Thanks to the drop down television screen, guests are able to catch a movie beneath the stars or have it return to the ceiling in order to enjoy unobstructed views into the main salon
When it comes to kicking back, the Jacuzzi up on the sundeck is certain to satisfy the luxuriously minded who prefer to take in the views whilst cooling off with a few drinks.
Also on the sundeck, a generously sized dining table has been situated beneath a fixed structure to allow for alfresco dining with optional bimini shading for those who require a cooler environment.
It’s also possible to enjoy quality alfresco dining on board, with a full-size dining table positioned beneath a huge bimini towards the aft.
Close by, sofa seating on the port and starboard sides provides a more relaxed setting for charter guests to retired to for after-dinner coffee.
Well protected from the wind, as well as the sun, all of the exterior spaces can be enjoyed in extreme comfort and in unrestricted luxury.
Ultimately, Spirit of the C’s is the very definition perfection, with her incredible performance complemented by the outstanding comfort provided by both her exterior and interior spaces.
