How to Find a Yacht Charter Broker

Leave your charter vacation in experienced hands

Yacht charter brokers can belong to a variety of recognised Trade Associations within the yachting industry. Each acknowledges experienced charter brokers and only allows members to join who are qualified industry experts.

With over 200 yacht charter-broking firms around the world and many of them specialising in certain areas, it is important to find an experienced broker that will be able to tailor your luxury charter vacation to meet all your needs. It is advisable to put your enquiry to at least two agencies and then assess the level of service you receive back based on the knowledge they have of the yachts they recommend.

Looking out for the associated professional organisations is a good way of ensuring that you are dealing with a reputable charter broker who can provide the best possible service throughout the booking process. Below are the main professional organisations associated with yacht charter brokers, popularly known by their acronyms.

With some organisations it is mandatory for charter brokers to attend a variety of seminars and yacht shows in order to maintain their knowledge of the market. It is possible for a broker to be a member of more than one association though if you are unsure as to which group a broker is part of, do not hesitate to ask.
