Visit the Abel Tasman National Park on a New Zealand Luxury Yacht Charter

23rd February 2015

Situated between Golden Bay and Tasman Bay, a secret paradise with unrivalled natural beauty can be discovered in the north of South Island, whilst on a New Zealand superyacht charter.

With 225 square kilometres of pristine beaches and wildlife-filled forestry, Abel Tasman National Park may be New Zealand's smallest national park, but it offers the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure.

Hike, paddle or kayak your way to the national park to spend your day here, which can satisfy everyone from beach-dwellers, trails through forests or meet the local wildlife - including bellbirds, cormorants, gannets, little blue penguins and furry seals (found around the edge of Tonga Island). The temperature in the waters here are also ideally suited for a dip between the months of December and March.

Still not convinced? Travel to Tonga Island marine reserve, nestled between Bark Bay and Awaroa Head, for a great fishing opportunity.
